	I'VE LIVED IN CHELMSFORD MY WHOLE LIFE. I WAS A SELECTMAN FOR 12 YEARS.


	I WAS THERE WHEN THE FIRE DEPT COMMITTEE WAS FORMED. I READ THE PRESERVATION RESTRICTION.


	THERE'S JUST NO WAY I COULD HAVE GUESSED CHELMSFORD WANTED THAT LAND IN THE CENTER NEXT TO THE FIRE STATION.


	That's your best defense? Really?
