This just in: only a week after oral argument, the Supreme Court has reversed and remanded, 9-0, Wisconsin Right to Life v FEC, a case about whether congress can bar free speech about issues.
This is a big win for James Bopp of the James Madison Center. It suggests that we have 20 years ahead of us arguing case by case exceptions to McConnell. That's how Jim gets rich.
It's not an ultimate ruling in the case, which could still go either way. It only lets the case move forward.
The timing has to do with O'Connor's retirement. If Alito is confirmed, this was her last case. Out with a bang!
