	The aardvark is the only surviving species of the tubiladentata order of mammals..


	Surprizingly, the aardvark is no relation to the anteaters, which can be distinguished by their lack of teeth. The similarity is called covergent evolution.

	Our nearest relatives are the elephants, the hyrax, which looks sort of like a rodent but isn't, and the manatee family.


	The giant manatee and the mammoth are already extinct due to humans. The African elephants, the manatee, and the dugong (a manatee genus) are endangered.


	I couldn't sleep last night because of anxiety about a hearing tomorrow, and I'm depressed with that despair I get when I have a deadline coming up for a memo.


	It'll pass. I 've had this before enough to recognize the symptoms.
