Stax of wax from whites and blax!
Okay, I'm a sucker for fuzzyman's LOW FIDELITY. I like it because of the music, plus it doesn't hurt that it takes me back to listening to my parents' record collection. Mom's 45s were Pop/Rock from the 60s. Dad's album were 70s Rock. Both had some oddball stuff mixed in. I frequently thank them for providing a firm base for musical appreciation. Now for my appreciation of fuzzy's mix:
01. Let Me Sing And I'm Happy--JERRY LEWIS.
Don't let him sing, and I'll be happy! Expected him to break out with "Laaaaaaaaay-deeeeeeeee" at any moment.
02. Cloudburst--TED HEATH.
Makes me want to kick off my shoes and dance naked in the rain. Excellent.
03. Rockin' Rollin' Over--BILL HALEY.
Now I know why Buddy Holly kicked his ass.
04. Rattle My Bones--THE JODIMARS.
Classic wax grooves to the max!
05. You Can't Stop Love--GEORGE WILLIAMS.
I've heard this before, but I'm not sure where. Very good.
06. Seven Days--SNOOKY LANSON.
Not as interesting as I'd hoped from someone named Snooky.
07. So You Think You've Got Troubles--MARVIN RAINWATER.
Awesome! Hard to believe this is the same guy who sang, "Halfbreed." Shut up, Cher.
08. When The Cats Come Marchin' In--MIKE PEDICIN.
Okay, but not a favorite.
09. The Second Greatest Sex--KITTY KALLEN AND GEORGE SHAW.
Gotta love those "Battle of the Sexes" tracks, but I prefer "Battle of the Network Stars."
10. What Will I Tell My Heart--FATS DOMINO.
Fats is PHAT!
11. Rock Doc--LOUIS JORDAN.
Sometimes 50s rock is too corny for words...
12. Uh Oh! Part 1--THE NUTTY SQUIRRELS.
Cute. Much less annoying than The Chipmunks.
13. A Face In The Crowd--ART MOONEY.
Oh dem white-ass blues. Nice version of the song, though. From the same guy who did, "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover."
14. For Once In My Life--JACKIE WILSON.
Mad props to the very underrated Jackie Wilson and this soulful tune.
15. Ride, Ride, Ride--BRENDA LEE.
Damn, she did a little bit of everything, didn't she?
16. Young Love--TAB HUNTER.
*swoon*
17. Baby Take A Bow--KIMBO SINGERS.
I'm all akimbo after hearing these singers. Sorry.
18. Miss Me Just A Little--JOHNNIE RAY.
I remember Johnnie when he played for the Pittsburg(h) Pirates--oh, wrong guy.
19. Dinner With Drac Part 1--JOHN ZACHERLE.
Cool track from one weird-looking dude (Google). Dick Clark thought this was "too violent" for American Bandstand! Hey, fuzzy, does your single have "Igor" on the flip side? That's rare if it does.
20. You Need Me--FATS DOMINO.
Not as phat as his previous song, but still good.
21. The Grape Stompers--RAY MARTIN.
Mmmmm...Ethnicity.
22. Little Kitten--THE FIELD BROTHERS.
Aka, The Cockroaches.
23. Monkey Talk--LITTLE STEVIE WONDER.
I don't know bout that title, but Little Stevie plays some sharp harp licks. I was looking forward to hearing this one as I'm more a fan of his 70s stuff.
24. Peace--THE MCGUIRE SISTERS.
Sweet sounds from the popular sisters.
25. I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine--ELVIS PRESLEY.
Are you sure this wasn't THE NUTTY SQUIRRELS again?
26. The President On The Dollar--MITCH MILLER.
Not as stirring as "Ballad of the Green Beret" or as fun as Johnny Horton, but neat in a Schoolhouse Rock kind of way.
27. Simple Twist--EDDIE TWISTER.
Sounded like great music, but the fidelity was really LOW onthis one.
28. Bossa Nova Casanova--KAY STARR.
I was pretty sure this song existed before I even heard it--just because of the title. Funny.
29. Theme Song--SAMMY KAYE.
Nice and Easy in a good way. Sounds like we're winding down, here.
30. Bad Boy--THE JIVE BOMBERS.
It's weird how some of these songs appeal to me while others don't. This one did.
31. Farewell, So Long, Goodbye--BILL HALEY.
I like this one better than the first BH track. Also an appropos ending to a solid collection of music.

Fuzzy, thanks again for your effort. I really dig LOW FIDELITY.
