I'm sure that ladyj's quite nice when she isn't being a judgemental bitch, so to speak, but having good points doesn't excuse the flaws. She has jumped to conclusions, made snap judgements about the Inflatable one, and started this thread because in her conceit she assumed mandingo had purposely made snide comments about her on her birthday; in fact, she claimed that it was premeditated and that he waited until her birthday to make the comments.

So she's a friend of yours. Fine by me; who you hang out with is your business, not mine. But you shouldn't expect everyone else to think she's a wonderful person. She's already given the strong impression that she's not someone I'd want to spend time with.

you don't seem to realize that what makes one a "lovely person" isn't how they treat their friends but how they treat people in general. whoopity shit, she treats you, a friend, well. all i've seen her do is treat people poorly and then say "teehee, i sure have mellowed", seemingly proud of the snits she creates and her trollish behavior

Not to interupt, but the user comments are there for whatever, good or bad comments. Or some that make no sense (Hey there, waffle iron.) It just says "optional". It doesn't say "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all here."

It's also semi private, giving the person an outlet to say "Hey, the guy saying "heyo!" at the end of all your comics sucks!" without bringing it to everyone's attention in a public thread. Unless, of course, people are reading your user comments daily.

Yes, a PM could do the same thing, but after sending a few myself, I've learned people tend to ignore that 1 New Message that pops up there.

As for inflate, you're damn right your rating went down. How dare you say anything bad about LadyJ. Especially after how well she treated DexX. Thats the true barometer of how awesome a person is. Thats a fact!

I remember when mandingo first came to this site and my blind arrogance thought I could argue with him without building up a proper case with any evidence.

That's not to say I ever conceded defeat, but if you're going to try and match him in any kind of intellectual debate, you'd better have a pretty strong argument if you want to have any chance of not being made to look like an idiot.

I've spent very little time away from SC since I joined years ago and I've seen a whole bunch of users come and go and come back again without much change, the good users stayed good and the trolls stayed trolls.

What amazes me is that in the recent months the Old Guard have returned and started acting pretty childish, immature and downright stupid. Is this some kind of revolution that I'm not aware of? What was this thread actually supposed to achieve? Was there supposed to be a flood of support for LadyJ? I'm baffled, completely baffled, and a little disgusted. There are more individual little fights between users to keep an eye on now than there ever was with CHUBBY and what makes it worse is that this time there's all sorts of emotions and people taking things far too seriously.

I predict that it won't be long before someone is either A: Banned (or at least requested to be banned) or B: Storms off in a huff forever.

Anyway, that's my two-cents, you may resume the fighting.
