There's no reason to say goodbye. I really can't fathom why you would leave, bunner. There are obviously a lot more ideas out there and a lot of more intelligent avenues that you have yet to explore. I mean, just because the idea of two frozen weasels being used as Louima-esque instrument is amusing doesn't mean whoever thought of the idea doesn't have something intelligent to add. Just stay, goddammit.

No, the worst people are those who were regulars at one time and now make about 10 comics a year and only post to threads to make asshole comments because they think they are stripcreator merely because they happened to be around when it started.

I have been here "about a year," and I have met with, talked with, and traded music with some really cool people who have also been here "about a year" (and even some who have been here longer).

As I understand it, a "regular" is someone who regularly logs in and contributes to a site in some manner. More specifically to stripcreator, being a "regular" means making comics, entering contests, creating or posting to various threads, and generally being involved in the site. By that definition, I am about as regular as you can get (and that's without counting my daily fiber intake).

And last time I checked, there were numerous threads concerning music, movies, politics, and the like. Sure, occasionally ignorant comments pop up in these discussions, but that's the ugly beauty of an open forum.

However, if any of you "real" regulars feel stongly about limiting the crap at stripcreator, then become a moderator. Brad posted an open invitation for mods a few months ago. Thus, you can enact some quality control instead of carping and harping about the lack thereof.

I like stripcreator, and I'll be here until I decide to leave.

Sorry umfum. I was being sarcastic. I've been here for exactly "about a year" now. But yes, I agree with you, and I don't feel that this site is going downhill at all. I still enjoy it quite a bit, as visiting sc.com and the IRC chat(and every now and then making comics) is usually my break from stressful college procrastination. Procrastinating in college is, of course, extremely stressful, so I like to procrastinate from doing my procrastination by coming to stripcreator. I like the people around here, and I like this discussions we all have. Plus, the comics are pretty funny.

I'm not worried about this site, and I'm really glad I found it last year.

Hell, I even like the dumb immature-ness, because everyone needs a little now and then (though I can understand bunner having had enough.)

Not that I disagree that the quality of blather has dropped off now and then. It's the wider audience. I would guess that the same number of quality people are here, taking the places of those that have left or seldom show up. It's just that there are a few more besides.
