I dunno why Nate deleted all his comics, but I was under the impression that he was just on vacation and hasn't left forever.

I've ridiculed Nate, mostly because he wears funny pants. But I've also talked to him seriously about his beliefs without ridiculing or arguing. He would still say "everyone" was picking on him. I dunno. I thought he was starting to mainstream rather nicely.

Disliking him didn't have anything to do with his beliefs, I don't even think I've read a post where he talked about them. It was because of asinine lamer posts like this one about "noobs". This is just one of a few threads he's started like this and it's old lame and tired. So is "meh" and "feh" and any posts whose only point is to call attention to itself.

ObiJo, I can completely agree with this. Nate was ridiculed far more than he actually doled it out. I used to argue with nate in #stripcreator because he began to condemn me for having premarital sex. Not the IDEA of premarital sex, but ME. So I argued with him until he left. Choadwarrior was there, I believe, so he can back me up on that one. Nate nearly immediately cooled off a lot and I thought he turned out to be a thoughtful, thought-provoking member of the forum. What happened?

I have no doubt Nate does exactly that. My point is that if you reciprocate a personal attack, you need to drop all pretense of being more open-minded than him because to maintain that stance is hypocritical.

Well... in this case maybe not. It was my impression from the beginning of this thread that Nate was fucking around and people just missed it so they could play the let's-kick-nate-in-the-groin game. This is true. As I said, Nate was very cool after his initial affront. He mellowed, had some good ideas, even laughed at my jokes. Believe me, the easiest way to get on my good side is to laugh at my jokes.

He wasn't CONSTANTLY kicked around by other people, though. People had laid off him as of late. His deletion seemed out of the blue.
