Well, yeah.. but since the topic is Rock and Roll is Alive and Well, I thought I'd go with WABC NY since they played, you know... rock and roll type stuff.

Most station is that time frame WERE playing "youth market" music, since the rest of it was either big band, talk, country, or easy listening.

Rock stations played the hits. Those were the hits.

The sematantical diversion you created as to format was quite simply a semantical diversion.
