Yeah, it isn't what I'd call a great film but it gets the job done. Also I like just about any war flick with Richard Burton in it.
I recently watched The Desert Rats with Burton and James Mason. It was billed as a sequel to Mason's biopic role as Erwin Rommel, The Desert Fox. There was just a cameo scene with Mason and Burton that felt like a staged photo opportunity between two heads of state. Probably my least favorite Burton war movie now. If I want to see him in Tobruk, I'll take Raid on Rommel any day.
