So there was this teaser for tonight's news that had footage of the tsunami and narrated by this: "Plus the awesome power of nature and the tsunami victim that never saw it coming!"

My reaction upon seeing the guy being swept away was: "How the duck did he NOT see it coming!? He was standing on the beach!"

I figure it's either stupid TV news narration or someone, who can't recognize nature's imminently assraping them with a scalding-hot, rusty, spiked dildo, probably had it coming.

Stop feeding the trolls.

Even if it was the news being moronic, why was he standing on the beach?

My impression was that, before a tsunami, the tide all of a sudden goes way out. That's supposed to be your signal to run like hell. Instead, beachgoers typically wander out into the unexpected tidal flat to look at stranded sea creatures. Then, wham.
