Totally agree, if the action scenes hadn't been butchered into oblivion by an over zealous editor with ADD and a Bourne fixation it would probably stand up better as bond flick. There are other jarring stylistic choices like the lack of soundtrack on some of the fight scenes, but overall I think underneath it is a reasonable Bond film just struggling under the weight of a few bad choices, it's just a shame they wasted all the good will Casino Royale had banked.
Very true. Once I got used to all the bad things about it, I really started to enjoy its good parts. Now it's one of my favorite Bond films, at least when compared to crap like OCTOPUSSY.
