I was going to see that during Melbourne's recent International Film Festival, but I just ran out of time. The summary in the MIFF program made it sound great, though. I am sorry I missed it.

In this humble hack's opinion, yes. It's a really good film, and while some bits are a little slow, it's got this pervading atmosphere of menace which keeps you riveted throughout.

Cessnock and Shields Road are particular highlights for me, plus Kinning Park has a new pink interior.

Plus, there's always the mystery gamble that you might get the one train that doesn't smell of piss and biscuits.

Hey, has anyone ever encountered a conductor on the underground? The legends of my people tell that such things exist, but I've never seen one.

By the way, folks, please don't feel that this is a Glasgwegian-only conversation. Feel free to talk about the public transit systems in your own localities.

I saw a conductor once, he walked through the doors as if he were on a cloud then he floated down the carriage, no-one else was looking at him, I stood up and followed him through a tiny door at the back of the train and we entered Narnia!

I always throw my ticket out before getting on the train. I can't be bothered carrying it around, and I don't believe in conductors.

There's no point in a conductor, I mean, you need the ticket to get through the turnstile, they must make a fucking fortune everyday anyway, the odd ned who jumps the barrier isn't really going to justify paying the wages of a conductor.
