Been waiting for a cd from amazon to complete my shortlist (Normally Id pick some other track but this one I think was worth the wait). Should have the disks in the post soonish. 

 

 

I promise to give serious listens to all the discs Ive received so far. I've enjoyed the cursory listens so far, but want to dig deeper and give some feedback.

Disks burned. Should have them mailed by tomorrow.

Before I left on vacation, I had received UE's and ... one more... but I can't remember which. Regardless, while I was gone, my fiance decided to clean up ... and as of right now, I am fairly confident that I know where the discs are, but not where the tracklistings are. I will give some reviews upon finding things.

I found the cd's (they were hiding), but not the track listings. I guess he threw them out without reading to make sure I didn't need them. But that's okay.

 

Also, Msr. Choadly, I sent out your cd. I apologise for the delay, apparently its going air-mail, so some Canadian goose is going to find its way to San Diego... probably not, they're really bad with directions, so expect the cd in about 2 weeks.

I'm sory everyone, but due to the fact that I'm a forgetful fuckstick and the fact that a slow month of work for amy wife and I has our finances pretty low, it may be a while before I can get these things in the mail.  They're done and ready to be mailed, I just don't have the cash for the postage right now.

I agree. Where it was a good idea, it was a lot more money and time than I expected... not to mention the iTunes fiasco. Plus, having all of these CD's to listen to and give opinions on... Well, needless to say I haven't even really started listening to them.

I will third the cost sentiments. $55 on my end, which was cool until all that stuff that cost money happened. Food, for instance.

All I know is that I listened to every disc I got so far. Getting my money's worth, damn it.

There you have it, neo-folk sitting next to dubstep all held together with a tasty helping of new British rock and pop.  And I doubt you will be hearing any acid house anthems played by brass bands, or Pixies songs sung in the style of The Beach Boys any time soon anywhere else other than the SC CD swap.  I just listened to it again and rather enjoyed it so I hope you all did as well.

I'm unsatisfied with the sound quality and song quantity of the special disc I was planning, so that's off. Sorry it took me so long to realize it, but I thought this was the perfect opportunity for it. Also, I didn't want to do it if I couldn't do it just right.

However, a new swap idea has percolated in my brain and songs have started falling into place -- almost subconciously according to a couple of things I've bought recently. Anyway, I should have it together soon after a brief scare during which I thought my CD burner had died. It didn't.
