what's the difference?

Let's just set eveything straight. We all hate newbies! I hate newbies, even though until not long ago I was one. We were all newbies, and have all gone through this treatment. We have all said completly stupid things we regret. It's like school, when you're in the first year you get picked on, as you get older you pick on the first years. That's how it works it's life. Yes I hate king newbie, but come two months if he is still here, then he will start being accepted, at least he can spell, unlike other newbies. Everyone is hated by someone else (more than others i.e myself and crabby) Even DexX and Brad and Kajun are surely hated by someone, (even if it is King newbie) though my message for Mr. Newbie is that come 20 odd more posts you will no longer be a newbie and once you settle in and stop talking crap (2,3 weeks) you will start being accepted, as I am now trying to acheive by posting less new threads. We have all been hated by someone we have all been in Newbies shoes (I pretty much still am) But note for King Newbie the more you shout stuff like this the more they will hate you, I've been there in every Newsgroup and forum I've been in, but when I start knowing everything I stop acting like a dumb arse. I look over things I've said in other newsgroups/forums/comics and say to myself what was I thinking? I'm realising this now looking over my first few comics and posting. But I hope come February I will be acepted!

Very few people here actually hate newbies. It only seems that way because it is pretty rare for someone who is not a newbie to act like a dickhead around here. That's logical enough - if you've been here long enough to be a regular, you are unlikely to suddenly turn into a wanker. Most newbies are fine - you have made a few slips in your first week or so here, but nothing malicious, and nothing major at that. Then there are those who have been here for ages, and have never settled.

Remember, if you have only been here a week, those who arrived two weeks ago and settled in easily look like any other regular to you, except for the comic and postings counts. Very few of us have actually been here since January. Only a handful of current regulars have comics with three-digit ID codes.

In summary - being disliked around here has nothing to do with you being new, but has everything to do with your behaviour.

PS. The best way to be accepted is to relax, have some fun, and stop worrying about whether or not you have been accepted.
