Recently this comic took more than a few swipes at MMORPGs. Yes, Galaxies is weak, Lineage is pretty inaccessible and Everquest is cool if you want to kill rats.....
And granted, some gamers are more passionate than others. We should, however embrace MMORPGs as examples of innovation and borderless communications. It's really about community!
And if we wish to spend $20 a month trying to get our virtual rocks off with an elven maiden who may not be female and gank some n00bs in the process, so be it.
