i have some msn chat buddies, and when i log on i say "woof."
before i became an aardvark, i was known online as gt_bear. not that kind of bear - the name comes from a teddy bear, but the guys on #bearcave were always fun.
raised in south philly, i don't know much aafrikans, so i'm not even sure what aardvarks say in greeting, but i'd say it translates pretty well as "woof."
woof is a flexible pronoun, like 'them', 'aloha', or 'stuff'.
it can mean "ok i'll see ya around" or "man that eric is a hottie"
