My tenant came over tonight with a third version of a contract to buy the house. It was still wrong for the same reasons the last three were wrong, and the price was 4,000 lower.
Partly he's never bought a house before, partly he's trying to weasel out of some key terms, partly I hadn't made the deal clear enough yet.
I called him on it, went over in detail what the terms of my offer are, crossed out a bunch of stuff that was wrong, and showed him how we could do what we want in one paragraph, not 5 pages.
It was a useful and productive session, and we're getting closer.
I've played monopoly against this guy. I know he's utterly ruthless, and I have to be adamant about not getting screwed out of my house.
Now it's bedtime. I've caught up on emails, made some comics, but not done any actual work.
