i'm at a starbucks on rt 41 outside chicago. the screening went pretty well, just really slowly, so now i'm stuck in traffic. really need this coffee. i rested 3 hours at a rest stop this morning.
who did i run into at the screening but my former roommate jake, who was there with his stepfather/best friend ron. they are broke so it's time to do studies. they have ron's land sold but the deal
hasn't closed yet. almost nobody showed up for the screening so it's possible both jake and i will get in. or they could cancel it, or have another screening day.
i missed an exit and drove right past trader joe's. it's too early to go to the lucky horseshoe unless the traffic takes an hour to get that far.
i will probably get home and sleep instead of having any time to use the car i paid for. but the expense was worth it based on the real possibility of getting in the study.
i ended up hitting the trader joes but not the lucky horseshoe. made it home around 2 am, slept, now i need to go take the car back, through the snow.
