I heard they might be able to send Matt Murton over to the Rangers with a prospect and they could pick up Marlon Byrd.

Well... He used to play for the Nationals and we need a centerfielder.
If anything the Rangers would send Byrd and a prospect for Murton. Don't count out the Padres though. Word is they have Murton penciled in as their opening day leftfielder.
