I've had that happen. Only intead of farting I pooped my pants a little, then had to wash them out in the restroom. Once I had wring all the water out of them, though, I sniffed and found they still smelled like shit. So I tossed them out and went commando the rest of the day.
When I got home I took a long shower, focusing on anus and hands.
