Hey John do you know why dry ice turn into a gas when you drop it in water?
Sublimation is most often used to describe the process of snow and ice changing into water vapor in the air without first melting into water. Dry ice is actually solid, frozen carbon dioxide.
What is carbon dioxide?
A colorless, odorless gas produced by burning carbon and organic compounds and by respiration.
Thanks John now I know what dry ice and carbon dioxide mean.
No problem, Carly if you need any help on science i'm here.

Hey John does dry ice go through the three phases?
Somewhat dry ice does because it starts from the freezing point then when it touch the liquid it turns it goes through the melting point then it turns into a gas.
So the dry ice doesn’t go through the boiling point?
No it doesn’t go through the boiling point.
Why?
Because dry ice is basically frozen carbon dioxide gas so it stars as a solid and turns into a gas.
