Hey hey, we're the Southeast Division!

Here's how I'm looking at this. We all like music, we all have music we like, we all like having fun. So I don't see my goal so much as introducing someone to something that's been missing in their life, as it is having some mutual fun.

So what you'll be getting is not a set of favorites (though some will appear). Some of it I may not be particularly fond of. What you'll get is hopefully a good time in the form of a concept album. And you'll have to play it to see what I mean. Mwahaha!

Some of the cuts have been selected, along with some of the cover art. Be patient.

I will tell you, some of what you'll get will be familiar, some will not be, and some may be familiar, but not the version you're familiar with. Don't get spooked by the mundanity of Tape 1 Track 1; it's a necessary mood-setter.

I must admit that I've been working on a Jazz project for jes_ and some 80s CDs for my wife this past month. However, I do have a host of songs playing in my head; they will make up the mix for this swap effort.

Once I start ripping songs and burning discs, it won't take me long to get them out to thirsty ears. Currently, I'm planning on a mid-March release.

I'm currently listening to the master CD of my mix. Maybe you'll enjoy it as much as I do, but I doubt it!

I'll record the CD to cassettes and attach individualized bonus songs to each copy. I didn't fill the CD all the way, so I have a bit of extra room. Yay.

I'm 33% done with mine--kaufman's disc and cassette are finished. I have two more to do. I fell a little behind because we had severe storms two weeks ago, and I didn't want to burn CDs at that time.

Unlike the other groups, I'm including full liner notes and info. However, I'm not making any graphics this time because I bought some special "vinyl" CDs.

I just heard that too many of those songs suck, and a few of them don't even exist in that form (I didn't think I'd been recorded doing karaoke), so I guess I'll just have to shitcan the whole project, and say:
