Most of them were ripped off jokes. I recognized 19, 20, and 21 as being rip offs and I suspect some of the others are as well.

I'd really like to see punctuation and better spelling in future comics. It takes me 3 or 4 reads to understand some of them.

Historical refrence to “John Frum” He was a G.I. During WWII who’s promises to natives of an island included receiving tools and such in exchange for their labor. Even though they never received their tools, the natives held to this promise for years after WWII ended and believed their rewards would soon come in on ships in giant cargo boxes. Eventually the belief of receiving tools and such got warped into the idea that they would get Ice Cream and Motorcycles. John Frum day is still celebrated in various areas and the people who believed in their rewards arriving via cargo shipment are now referred to as the “Cargo Cult”. Freaky huh?
