Alright I admit it. I was the girl who refused to let anyone hold a door open for me. But rather than yell at the guy, I'd usually find a different door and open it myself. Now that I've got a kid I am a lot more grateful for doors held open.

I think some of us go through that "I don't need anyone to do me any favors" kind of mindset at some point or another.

You know, where you get angry or frightened looks from people for no reason, animals make noises at you at no provocation, and small children either run out of your way or are immediately redirected by an accompanying adult?
