OK, I can see this thread is in need of some serious religious discussion. So here's my question... When sacrificing enemies to Odin, must I use an ash-wood spear or will any kind of pole-arm do?

I think any type of spear will do, though ash-wood is naturally more effective.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that most sacrificial offerings to Odin were dispatched by garroting or hanging.

Odin and I go way back. Despite what you may have read elsewhere, he prefers his sacrifices slowly roasted on a spit, basted with a nice leon-pepper suace and served with a fine Pinot Nior.

Duh. He was the messiah that was promised to the Jews in the old testament. Christianity is the following of Jesus Christ, part of the fulfillment of the prophecies by God and the new covenant with his people. Jesus came with new promises from God that all were able to achieve salvation through the new plan.

The standard comeback is "Just on his mother's side." But if you're Jewish, that's all it takes.

I've also seen the annoying bumper sticker, "My boss is a Jewish carpenter" that celebrates his heritage.

What I don't get is the organization Jews for Jesus. Doesn't that kind end their being Jewish?

No... they are Jewish by heritage, but have decided the messiah they were waiting for was the Jesus of the christian faith. So ethnicly they are Jewish, but religiously they're christian.

Religion, eh? Opium of the masses, eh? I think that is a pretty fair judgement: if you want to have it as part of your life, that's your business, but I still pity the wretched addicts.

What I do object to is parents indoctrinating their children into their religion (which I have seen first hand in several cases). That's like some skag-head Meader shooting up, and giving a needleful to their newborn too. It's just wrong.
