Much as I'd like to somehow abuse my power and award the win to Spankling (whose second comic was also quite amusing), I don't think I can pull it off. Anyway, he won CC48, so hopefully that will keep his mind off the fact that he's now the first person to have a 0-2 record in Comic Cup matches.

I'm going to be Dr. Pedantic and discount Big Evil Dan's vote, since he hadn't asked to be a judge yet. Nothing personal Dan, just trying to instill order in this thing. You're in for next round, though. And as long as there are an even number of judges, I'll abstain unless my vote is needed (like if someone else abstains).

Not that it matters anyway; the round goes to NastyPope whether it's 6-3 or 6-4. Good show, your holiness.

Round 2: descolada99 vs. LadyJ

1. Only one pose of one character or prop may be used. If you choose Maura5-2, it's Maura5-2 all the way. You don't have to use it in all six positions, but you must at least use it in one.

2. You must use at least two of the following words in your strip: bloviate, syzygy, nudibranch, interlard, stereoscopic. Where possible, you may pluralize the word or change its part of speech.

3. The strip or a character must make fun of some popular internet site (e.g. The Onion, stileproject, Suck, memepool, etc.)

I need a clarification on this rule before I can vote.

Descolada's comic uses one character and one prop, but he only uses one pose of each of those. After reading through the rule a few times, I am not sure that it is clear that Descolada violated the rule.

I read it as 1(character or prop). I could be wrong, but even trying to parse it differently feels forced to me. If he'd meant one of each, he'd have said "one each" or "character AND prop"... at least that's my humble opinion.

It comes down to whether the "or" is exclusive or not. If not, I like Desco's comic better, so it gets my vote. If the "or" is exclusive, then LadyJ gets my vote.
