And I do apologize to anyone on this thread. I didn't mean to explode like that and start flaming people. I was just in a VERY bad mood yesterday and it combined with my disagreement with Jesus-bashing and protectiveness over my sis. *has serious anger issues* I normally dont say anything on the threads that include religion bashing subjects to avoid such outbursts, but lately, I've been tired of everyone. This is not a justification for my anger (I had no right to explode and start flaming people) but an explanation. And again, I'm sorry.

Nah...I didn't think you blew up. That was nothing. You had every right to say what you said.

Course the comic about people like me burning in hell wasn't terribly nice...but that's ok, cause you were trying to defend your sis and your beliefs. That's understandable. It also didn't bother me much, cause I don't believe in hell ^_^

Course, I basically believe that you cease to exist when you die...which isn't exactly a comforting though either...heh. Makes me wish I could somehow convince myself to be religious sometimes :-P

I would be willing to talk about it in private, but I'll warn you beforehand that there's no way you'll convince me to believe again. I've seen too much, studied too much, thought too hard, and am FAR too confident in the outcome I've arrived at to change my opinions. I imagine I may change them in some selfish desire to believe in an afterlife when I get older (let's not pretend that ALL religious people are that way for selfless purposes)...but hopefully I'll have the willpower to stick to my beliefs, rather than fearing death to the degree that I shirk them in the future.

Still, if you'd like to discuss the issue of religion with what I've told you, feel free to PM me. I definitely enjoy discussing it...and I'll do so in a civilized manner (of course), but I imagine that no amount of discussion would sway either of our opinions :-D
