Yeah, I was a bit worried that the change would be confusing. I was hoping the characters looked similar enough that the change wouldn't be too noticeable or jarring. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Isn't that comment a bit uncalled for? I'd rather have positive criticism than be made fun of. Perhaps you could tell me WHY you don't like the comment, rather than insult me.

I hate all the sacreligious jokes on here...Quit targeting my religion, it's not like I'm targeting yours.

Sorry if that's insulting. I have nothing against people being religious, but I have admittedly come to the point that I've become insensitive about it cause there are so many extremists that bother me.

It's gotten to the point that I don't hold back as often as I should in making fun of ANY religion (I was born and raised Christian...but I just can't believe it anymore for various reasons).

I'm doing a set of comics now about the Mel Gibson movie "The Passion of the Christ" which may be insulting (though not as bad as the one above, I don't think). I won't post them here, since I understand why it would bother you.

Oh...and the "Passion of The Christ" comics are making fun of the movie and the commotion about it...not Christianity.

I don't know if that justifies them, but I really feel like I can make some funny ones...so I really want to do it. But like I said...I won't post them here.

Yeah, it was insulting. Your comic was inhibiting to a new addition of Christianity. I'm no fanatic, but I'll have to say that you've hurt my feelings to where I have nothing else to say to you, except that I'll pray for you.

Well, just because something is a new addition to christianity, doesn't mean it should be free from reproach. That's ridiculous.

The movie was created by a very fundamentalist, right wing (supposedly anti-semitic, though I don't know that for sure) Christian group and for months has only been shown to specific church groups and high end religious figures around the world. Because I find that activity both odd and just a LITTLE elitist, I can't say I agree with the situation behind the creation of the movie...or the goals of that movie from this point on.

I do agree that my third comic was overly insulting and for that, I apologize. If I could delete it, I would...but I feel I should defend my decision to make the fourth comic and criticize the movie. That's why I'm explaining.

I hope you don't cut off all contact with me simply because of an insulting comic, as you've been one of the few people nice enough to give me feedback...and I greatly appreciate that.

dude, you've got problems. since you were so eager to make the point on "your" thread, this is "her" thread. not everybody thinks like you. and good thing, too. if she offends you, especially if she warns you that she's not posting certain comics because they MIGHT offend you, then don't fucking search them out to get offended, you freak. now, in case my words didn't do the job, i'm going to pray for you.

I find the commotion behind it very funny.

I'm not trying to attack you, SmeeMak, but I think that showing it for months to "specific church groups" and "high end religious figures" is similar to showing ANY movie to "high profile" movie critics before it gets released. They (like any other movie makers) are just trying to get good publicity for the movie.

As for me, I am looking forward to seeing it. Just like with any movie, I'm not gonna try to judge it or its creators till I take a looksie for myself.

I suppose you're right noonie. I do doubt the motivations behind the movie, but I suppose I can't truly judge it before seeing it...but I still feel like making some comics about it, nonetheless ^_^

Graykane, I'm a girl, not a "dude." And SmeeMak told me to read them if I wanted to and to tell him if they got too insulting. Excuse me for following directions. And he PMed me so that we could continue our discussion in private to protect the both of us from being flamed. It's all good now. If you're going to call someone a freak, don't intend it to be hurtful because that is my social class at school. =)

And, if you're going to tell someone that you will pray for them, don't cuss and let your feelings fly at them. I have nothing against you or SmeeMak and I'm glad that both of you can stand up and speak your opinion, no matter what side you're on. Just try to think with a more open mind next time.
