The best part of CAS is the chalk outline prop. The rest of the site is total ass. I find the layout and art to be rather distracting.
I'll stick with SC.

Actually, no. Stripcreator -Lowpass to you old schoolers- was always a pretty smooth interface. It's been in a constant state of upgrade, thanks to Brad, but it was never like wading through motor oil.

The art has expanded greatly since the times when you had, like, the defaults, Cowboy Bill, some stuff from exploding dog and Diesel Sweeties. (Thanks, DexX and Kaddar), but it was always pretty much a very tight base code and the subseqent bug fixes have made it not only idiot-proof, but fun to make strips with.

I think there's plenty of evidence for a court to at least review a potential "look and feel" lawsuit against the site in question. Making a comic strip generator isn't like making a word processor, if your generator looks a lot like someone else's it's because you copied it...as Matt has admitted himself, under oath, that he has done.

Have I mentioned how much I love having my threads deleted? I'm sure Makk feels about the same when it's his comics.

You know, on SC, if we donate we get the right to delete our own comics, on CAS, if you DON'T donate, you are subject to having your strips deleted. I think I'd rather just have my account deleted. Communist websites just aren't for me.

Actually, the core strip creation and viewing functionality has changed surprisingly little since the beginning. IIRC, most of the changes have concerned the forums and users and such.

My account seems to have been deleted from Create a Strip for no reason. I went to log in several times and found that my username was no longer in the database, apparently. Who knows why?
