All you have to do is pipe up with your claims of "Saddam was a threat", and you don't have to back it up with a goddamned thing, because it is common knowledge that Saddam is not a nice guy. Quite a few sheep...er, Americans (and others) believe he's a threat. Hell, it would almost be a decent reason for bombing Iraq if it were not for one thing...

Where's the WMDs that were the big huge threat to our safety? If I recall correctly, that was the reason for going into Iraq originally. And fuck that Liberate Iraq bullshit that this administration spewed when the WMD thing dried up. Oh yeah, the Iraqi people sure seem to want to be liberated. You can yap til you're blue in the face about how Saddam could've been planning an attack on us MaKK, but the simple, plain, absolute truth is that there is NO PROOF that they had WMDs, were planning an attack, etc. I won't even get into that "red tape of international bodies" stuff you said earlier. Basically you think that the U.N. is only useful when it serves our needs and that it's a fucking colossal waste of time otherwise.

Now those of us who oppose this travesty, we're expected provide a zillion reasons (from unbiased sources!) for our opposition. I dunno MaKK...in the end, you're going to believe what you want to believe and nothing will change that, so I find it absolutely pointless and an utter waste of my time and Brad's bandwidth to bother reasoning with you.

You bring up WMD's, when if you'd read what I've been saying, I don't think that should have been brought up as a reason for us going in.

Also it seems just as easy for you to say I shun things I don't agree when I am in fact rejecting something that is not an authoritative source. Again, I am noticing a surprising lack of examples. What is it I have "shunned" that is such an authority on what we were talking about?

Or do you really believe 100% of eveything spread across any medium is 100% true?

Well, 10-cent words make me fire cum-bullets that rip through sheetrock. MaKK, WMDs are not limited to nuclear weapons. That's why they are called WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION and not...NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Because WMDs is a grouping that includes biological and chemical weapons. (Anyone else get the feeling that this is like explaining to children why and how people make babies?) So if you are somehow vaguely referencing chemical weapons with the 'stoichiometrics' comment, then you are, in fact, advocating the 'WMD' theory.

He didn't ask me to back up anything else because I didn't say anything else that he could easily spot as maybe being based on factually innaccurate information. It's true that GWB has threatened to use nuclear weapons, and for that alone should be impeached.

And Makk, you did try to use the Playstation hoax as a reason in your argument. You argued that Saddam must have been a threat because he wasn't even permitted to have Playstation 2's. That was false. So instead of saying, oops, that was false, sorry, you attacked me for nitpicking. I think we all see through that.

Also, to say that the internet is not a trustworthy source is much like saying print is not a trustworthy source. I.e., it is meaningless. The internet is a medium. There are lots of sources on it. The National Center for Health Statistics is on the internet, and so are the Scientologists. Lexis Nexis is on the internet, and it contains articles from the London Times as well as the Jakarta Times. Distinguishing reason from balderdash requires a critical faculty, not just a blanket dismissal of an entire medium.

I said the Internet wasn't a VERY trustworthy source, not that it was completely untrustworthy. Also I don't believe you disproved that Japan did not sell Playstation 2s to Saddam just because you didn't like the articles I found that were still online about that very old story. Even pretending this was even an important part of my argument is just a tactic though, if you've read anything I've been saying this is a complete non-point, I don't even know why you brought it up again.
