I hadn't heard of him before, but the name clearly struck a chord within me. Was he a deranged gon? What is a gon? Perhaps he meant to name himself "Deranpentagon" or "Dir en Grey" or at least "Mario Bava." But it didn't matter. The juxtaposition of the word Derangon and the giant fruity manatee that was tap dancing up above the pile of hay was enough to make me squirm with a fool's combination of glee and spasmodium. Where was the gamut? Who is Carl Blackley? Play it again, Sam, for we will never hear it again.
