When is the next one? Can I get a PM or something when the time comes. I have a great Native Tongues mix that I made myself that I'm itching to get out.

We may as well throw it open. If you are interested in participating in Swap #8, post here.

1) Merely state your desire to join Swap Eight by replying to this thread.

2) Then, please send an email to choadwarrior@san.rr.com with your mailing/shipping address. I will use your email address to contact you after everyone has signed up.

03) You will be grouped with other individuals (number to be determined) for the purpose of exchanging music CDs that you create (at least one each). The CDs should be playable on regular home or car stereo disc players. Don't send out a disc filled with 300 mp3s.

04) By signing up for Swap Eight, you express your explicit desire to both give and receive music.

If you haven't sent out discs from the last (or any) swap, please get those out if you want to participate in this swap. You can sign up, just sincerely promise to me that you'll get them out if you do.

Thanks. If you have any questions or requests, please include them in your email to me.

I won't use the toilet after you. I hear you can catch aids like that.

I also don't want to exchange CD's with you due to your obvious bad taste.

I'm going to get my CDs out tomorrow, now that the trip is over and before a new blizzard fucks up the mail.

Oops, too late. Goddamned blizzards. I'll mail them tomorrow anyway.

And I promise that I will send the next swap CDs on time. As long as it's before August because I plan on moving out of this slum around then and I can't guarantee I'll be able to get anything done until after.

I'm already working on my mix for the next swap. I'm definetly in. Instead of mailing perhaps it would be easier to send the albums to eachother electronically as an .RAR download. Maybe, I can send out hard copies to those that want them (Each with their own custom art work and liner notes....) and then just send the download to those that would just want that (no artwork or anything else cool come with it.).

What do you think?

Yeah, but then I'd still have to burn them to CD to listen to them in my car.

You could always post pictures of yourself downloading the .RAR file.

More likely I'd post pictures of boorite or the cats downloading the .RAR file.

What the fuck is a .RAR file?

What is a RAR file
.RAR is the format for the WinRAR archiver. They store one or several files in the compressed form. After you downloaded RAR file from Internet, you need to unpack its contents in order to use it. Its alot like a .zip file!

So why am I not sending out .zip files? Well for starters, RAR provides a number of advanced features: more convenient multipart (multivolume) archives, tight compression including special solid, multimedia and text modes, strong AES-128 encryption, recovery records helping to repair an archive even in case of physical data damage, Unicode support to process non-English file names and a lot more.

When I'm getting ready to send out something as personal as a mixtape only a .RAR file can used.

I don't trust it. What if this newfangled .RAR file is merely a front for Tobor's cornholing business? He sneaks into your computer through this thing and then using a combination of science and magic (i.e. Weird Science) he comes to life in your bedroom and starts cornholing you.

No thank you.

Please e-mail your mailing address to me at choadwarrior@san.rr.com if you have not already done so.

So far, I only have:
-Jes
-BigFrank
-TheGov
-Kramer
-Ivy

I have Fuzzy, cpausti & Smurph's info from the last swap, assuming it hasn't changed.

I want to get this thing going, so please get that e-mail to me as soon as possible.

I think boorite needs to be in the swap too. He seemed really interested in the last swap and went so far as to make a CD. I know he's interested, but he keeps getting distracted by shiny objects. And of course his address is the same as mine.

Two have dropped out, so we'll see who's left.

Ooh, I wonder if you'll include "Chant of the Ever-Circling Skeletal Family" or whatever the hell it's called?

What Led Zep would TheGov choose? "Achilles Last Stand," "Wearing and Tearing?" Hmmm...
