I used my new amazing regular expression super powers to limit user names to alphanumeric characters only. Underscores are also allowed. The point of this is to stamp out user names with spaces in them for a reason I'd explain were I not so busy. It has to do with URLs. Speculate wildly amongst yourself.

Anyhow, I've consulted with Big Evil Dan and he's okay with the idea of my changing all spaces in user names to underscores. ie. Big Evil Dan may soon be Big_Evil_Dan. If any of you folks with spaces in your usernames have any well-reasoned objections, object on.

The forum I wrote had a lovely little bug in it preventing people with apostrophes in their names signing up. I did this on purpose to keep it free of Irish people.

Mostly what I object to is the fact that the name field is only 20 characters long, but you can enter 21+ character names into it. Guess who discovered he'd lost an "s" and had to quickly come up with a rationale for being a time of day instead of a major British newspaper?

Underscores are fine. No, honestly. Go on. Add to my humiliation.

You should've made a new account called "I'm the Sunday Times". Not as catchy, but it makes more sense.
