Actually, it's more like a popularity contest.  If people like you, they won't throw a fit when you start a new type of contest, even though the last three new "types" of contests are just regular contests with specific rules.

If people don't like you, they will complain and your thread will get moved to a file where mafia bosses will see it and know to hunt you down and cut off your earlobes for sale to earless African children.

I, also, plan to react to your new contest in this way.
