I feel responsible for the current disarray of the cc numbers, stemming back to what should have been cc 500 and I typed 550.  From there the numbering of our contests have gone straight to hell.  If I counted right, this should be number 523.  But honestly, who the hell cares?  Let's just make some damn comics!

You may have assumed that this cc would be about New Years given the title.  You would be wrong.  One of the things I feel missing from stripcreator art is sports related charcaters and backgrounds.  We do have a golf course background and one black guy with numbers on his shirt.  I'd like to see more sports related comics and this is why we are here.

Any sport goes, even if you want to make one up for the contest.

If you have an old comic that is sports related, you may enter it.

I just want to thank my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for helping me with this win.  I knew I just had to take it one comic at a time, give 110%, and write within myself.

I'm really proud of my characters.  They really hit their stride and showed a lot of hustle.  The Mandingoses and Zmanzillazes of this game put up big numbers and are a force to be reckoned with, so to come out and beat guys like that really shows a lot of heart and my hat's off to them.

As it has been throughout the history of Comic Competitions, turnovers are key, so I'll work on my mental game and start training for the next CC, which will start tomorrow on my home turf.
