I'm taking suggestions for what information you guys would like to see on the front page when I overhaul it and remove the current random comic and voting bar that does nothing thing.

So far people have mentioned a desire to see the ten (or more) most recently created comics and a link to display a random comic.

Other things I could possibly add are the last X number of referrals to Stripcreator from other places, the last X number of forum posts.

Any ideas?

People with most comics, People with most posts, People with Highest rating, Fixed Rating system, easy author finder.

In addition to a link for a random comic, I'd like to see a text box so you can enter a comic number.

Adding the search feature to the front page could be nice too, depending on what your grand vision for the front page is.

I like the last X referrals idea.

I remember someone suggesting the last 10 users created, too. Could be a good way to spotlight new talent, or it could end up sucking because probably not everyone starts making comics as soon as they sign up.

I think I disagree with 'Nate's requests about the users with the highest number of posts and comics. Lists like that would be fairly stagnant, and might encourage people to waste disk space/bandwidth in an attempt to get a spot on them.

My suggestions for the front page:

1. A big, easy to spot link to the FAQ.
   
2. A random strip, right there on the front page. I like seeing a random strip there every day.
   
3. A big notice saying "Give Brad money!" and maybe a chart showing bandwidth and hosting costs.
   
4. A list of links to the ten most recent strips.
   
5. No trace whatsoever of a voting/rating system. Kill it. It does not deserve to live.

That about does it...
