Have you ever wanted to waste time reading things that might make you laugh? Are you afraid of clowns like me? Ever wonder why people love Nike[tm] so much? Do you love robots? Check out my comics here! I put up about 3-5 a day [weekends do not apply] and also draw them and leave them all over the office as well! Let me know what you think! Hate mail not acceptable!

Best regards

Wow. You're quite the fucking dork, aren't you?

In general I agree with boinky's assessment of your comics. Of the 7 you have, most had too much narration (a trend you rightly eschewed early) or had too much dialog that the jokes got lost in. If you use too much exposition AFTER the joke, people think there's another joke and when there isn't, the original one loses its appeal in the anticlimax.

You did have two comics I liked, though. This one:
133998

And this one was actuallly excellent:
134621

I pretty much agree with not_Scyess' assessment.

This comic:

133999

(comic #133999 -- I think that's Fibonacci's brother-in-law's sequence or something) would be better if the last sentence of the second panel and the entire third panel were tossed out the window.

I think you have a decent sense of what's funny, except that it sometimes gets shouted down because you also seem to think that total randomness is funny, a viewpoint with which I have to disagree. In Leg Thief, posted above, what's funny to me is not that he's flossing farm animals, but that he can't remember which farm animal he's supposed to be flossing. That's probably my favorite of yours so far.

All in all, I've seen much worse. Keep trying.

I liked the Birth of a Serial Killer strip, there was some intelligent dialog in there. Plus it had the Beetle, which I like.

It was about 30 or 40 strips before I posted to RMDC because I knew it would take a while to get used to stripcreator - and I got a fairly better reaction when I did. It always takes time to make really quality strips.

Agree with evil_d, you have the nous to post to RMDC, which is more than most. Keep tryin'.

Admitted I am an ex-hacker... that somehow still managed to get laid without promising to do some girl's homework. It sorta just stuck with me, and now I make IDM and am interested in building time machines and lasers. Pretty close in both cases. Would it be better to use regular characters? doesn't bother me either way. Dork away. I'm in no way l33t or any of that bullshit.

Sometimes it's necessary, no?

Thanks for the painfully anal critique though, not_Scyess, [what does that mean?] I'd expect nothing less here. All of the comics here were written in lieu of sleep (insomniac like most of you i'm sure) and were done right on the spot - revised only once as i read through it...guess that shows and i should've realized the insane standards being applied. Live and learn.

Take care

Evil D,

In hindsight, the last panel in the cannibal clowns comic is a bit forced I agree. It's going to be a serial though, as is the tease. Thanks for Response though man, appreciated.

I'm more or less in consensus with the others. I will supply one general SC tip: Particularly in RMDC, many strippers will do their best to give constructive criticism as they see it. Some may come off anal (mine probably would) whereas others will be of the "great job," "keep trying," or "you totally suck" variety. Different strippers have different mentalities about what's funny and will give a wide range of advice. I find that one of the really redeeming aspects of SC; you'll never find a more varied group or a wider range of advice.

Though some people's standards may seem insane, I think the general spirit is one of helpfulness. The less you let yourself feel defensive, the faster your comics will improve.

I wish. Of the regulars, I stay up the longest; everyone else bails at around 3 AM.

It gets lonely at night with no one to talk to.

Well... Never say never. Or Petunia. It just sounds disgusting.

My hacking days were long enough ago that I've been able to quelch the paranoia associated with it. For a long time I wouldn't tell anyone.

Wish I could go to bed by 3am... here it is, 7:55am and still not tired. Even when I do lay down to go to bed, sometimes it takes a good 2 hours before I'm asleep.

Ever try any of the perscription insomnia medications like Ambien?

Ambien works great, but you have to be sure you have 8 full hours to sleep. If not, your day at work will suck like Carrot Top.
