I tried it with Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 4.08 (on a Mac) and, unfortunately, I can't get it to work.

weird, when I directly click those links my IE crashes but when I right click open in new window it loads it correctly, that could just be me though..

Yes well, it uses javascript. Actually, the roleplaying name generator was just broken and I fixed it, but the other one has always and still works fine with IE6 javascript.
