well, shit. i used to post in the comic competition forum back in february, but now i can't post anymore! i guess the rules have changed and not everyone can post in all the forums?

anyway, i made a damn comic for CC 199 and i don't want my hard work to go to waste. the contest is about anticipation and, although UnknownEric said he wanted to laugh, mine isn't exactly funny, but it is a true story and deals with anticipation. so, without further ado...

on the evening of 9.10.01... SWEET! tomorrow is my 21st birthday! i am so excited! it is going to be so awesome! i wonder what i should do... i hope i'm not too tired from waking up early for school! it would be such a crappy birthday if i were too tired to go to a bar! well, i guess i'll just take a nap tomorrow after school so i'll be able to party all night long! man, i am so excited!!

it would be cool if someone would be nice and let me back into the competition forum. thanks, kids!

The strip's got a great concept, but the last panel doesn't pack a punch. If the last panel were a bit funnier, I think it would stand a chance of winning the competition. But still, pretty good.

My birthday is September 11th. Oh, that must suck to have that as your birthday. Get this...My dad's birthday is December 7th. No way? Pearl Harbor Day...That's creepy. My mom is French. God, it just keeps getting worse.

Although neither was a landmark birthday like turning 21. I turned 33 on 9-11-01, and my dad turned 5 on 12-7-41.

I liked that comic a lot - it's funny in an understated way that I really appreciate.
