I'm not voting, and I'm not telling anyone how to vote. However, as I see it:
- "Pick", the noun, is being used as "selection based on prediction", while the verb is being used as "select based on preference." Small difference, perhaps, but it can be taken as a difference.
- In Frosty's comic, the first and the penultimate uses of "boot" have the identical meaning, "kick", save that one is a verb form and one is a noun. Sure, Frosty has plenty more than 3 types of "boot"s, but the rule specifies that each is to have a different meaning.
So anyway, as far as I'm concerned, this issue is a wash.
