Thank you.. I'll take that as a compliment... if I wasn't a real newbie then I would be insulted.

you know, i read your other stuff, and it's a hell of a lot funnier than this. i mean, they're really good. that's twice that happened to me: reading someone's bad comic in the forums only to discover that ALL of their other comics were great. what's with you people? show off the good stuff. hide the bad.

Jeez, I should get one of your stars for this. Ok here we go -

I have a bottle of balsamic vinegar sitting in one of my kitchen cupboards right now. The sell-by date is in the late 1/2 of 2005. That doesn't mean that the bottle in my cupboard has yet to be made, I know this because it's, well, it's in my cupboard and I use it from time to time.
The sell-by date is the date reccomended by the manufacturers of the product (or maybe some outside health and safety organisation) that retailers have to sell it by, otherwise they have to remove it from the shelves or mark it clearly that it is out of date (code).

Don't kid about this, smamurai. Everyone knows that bottles, like socks*, go backwards in time. The sell-by date is the maturity date on the bottle. Beyond that date (in our reference frame -- before it in the bottles'), the bottles have not yet reached the required level of stability.

* -- That's right. Consider how when you see yourself putting two socks in the washer, and only getting one back out, what has really happened is that the backward-flowing sock has reproduced.

Great Scott! Do you realise what this means?

Do you think you could perhaps draw me a picture?

Wow. And I thought the product exploded when the sell-by date was reached. ::sarcasm:: Or maybe people just appear in the supermarket to buy the stuff.
