...what the hey?

There's a second episode, but somehow it's not quite as good as it was in my head.

Your comics have excellent set-ups. Really, they're some of the best I've seen... but the jokes just aren't funny enough, and leave the reader in a sucking void of bathos.

Work on those punchlines and you'll be an excellent stripper. Also remember that in general, the fewer words you use to get the point across, the funnier the strip is.

Soccer may be the "real" football, but it's also the "extremely boring" football.

I thought "Voices" was a good comic.

I don't want to get into an argument about football, so lets just say you're half right. "Soccer" does sometimes have long spells where nothing happens, although introducing beer to the situation makes them fly by. But there's nothing in any other sport that can compete with the beauty of seeing a thunderous looping volley from 50 yards.

And thanks for the compliment. "Voices" is the only one that came to me in comic strip form, so it didn't have the crappy long-windedness of the others.

Yes, I thought "Voices" was an especially original and funny set-up. But "My imaginary friend" was a pretty lame punchline.

Another brilliant idea, and the punchline worked better this time. Although it migh've been more poignant to have butch saying nothing at the end... the title really explains it all.

Why? Don't tell me you're one of these people who has to be 100% right, all of the time.

Cos if you are, then I'm very sorry, your majesty, for thinking I was allowed an opinion, it won't happen again.

Say "Charlie Chaplin is God" 13 times and sacrifice 200 baby kittens...

And if it doesn't work you have a funny story to tell your co-workers...

Okay. Here's a negative comment: The comics aren't very funny. I wouldn't call them bad... in fact, the premise is pretty good. But the comics themselves lack a certain... I don't know... kick that comics should have.

I think you have much potential, though.

As someone of Irish descent, that last comic offends me. Just because we're a lousy bunch of drunks is no reason to make comics about it!

Wait, it is. Nevermind.

I like a lot of the strips, but your signature has me in stitches!

...of course, I have been told I'm mentally unbalanced, but I killed the voices that told me that, and the others have kept pretty quiet ever since!
