Closed Narration for the intellectually challenged. by Drexle 10-29-01

There are two asian girls in this panel. I just wanted to point that out in case you are blind or stupid or something. Look, Asiangirl1 speaks! She appears to be soliciting sex for money... just in case you're deaf. Herro sojah boy! Sucky sucky fi dolla, me love you long time! Now she has caught on fire and is burning! I had to clarify just in case you though the fire was screaming. Argh I'm burning! She burns with passionate desire for my tender loins.

Just because we have narration boxes doesn't mean we're forced to use them. It feels like you're talking down to the reader when you take it upon yourself to spell everything out in the narration boxes.

This being said, I have a sort of fondness for what happens in the 2nd comic... not much of a punchline but it speaks to me somehow. That first one just really left me flat, though.

Similar to my entry into the "appalling comics" contest...

Alcyonae, welcome to the Strip Creator. The others are right, you could do without all the narration in both of your comics. Aside from that... How to get Osama bin Laden starts out strong, but doesn't go anywhere. I enjoyed the "Oh my Allah" line, but I don't get the last panel at all.

As you've all probably figured out, I'm a messed up person. Lol. My comics make absolutely no sense. But I think I have to explain the bin Laden one. Okay. The first panel is bin Laden watchin' CNN (obviously), the second one is an American dude in a kangaroo suit coming to take bin Laden out. You see, he's so stupid he thinks it's a real kangaroo. The third panel is the American dude out of his kangaroo costume and the Boom! is... well, you guessed it. bin Laden. So there you go!

If I didn't know crabby had some really good comics in his list, Aqua Tobor would make me remove him from my favorites.

Check out the crappy comics thread, I think Aqua Tobor starts at about page 7 or 8.

We should have a tag team comic cup tournament to decide the best pair of strippers on the site. The first person would start a comic and do the first three panels and then their partner would come in and do the next three.

Just a thought.

AQUA TOBOR isn't as good as THIRSTY BEATNIK but he still holds a special place in my heart.
