I completely scratched the whole 'post-apocalyptic time travellers' theme here. You see, the strip was originally going to be about two time-travelling heroes. Instead, I wimped out and sent them home, only to have them live with a bunch of wacky roommates...

Krieg! There you are! What's up, man? How the hell did you get in here? I boarded up the door when I heard you got back... So, anything interesting happen while Kaela and I were gone? The power of Cthulhu compells you! Get the fuck out of my room! What we have here is a lack of communication... Yeah, I missed you too. You know, I don't see why you insist on living in this closet. It's so cramped in here... Only when you're around, imbecile....

Krieg is one of Vincent's roommates. He considers everyone around him to be a complete imbecile, and everything about the world to be pure idiocy. All of his dialog so far has been in thought bubbles because he's not actually saying anything. Krieg rarely ever talks to anyone, but the reader gets an inside look as to what he's thinking when interacting with other character.

 Here's some Krieg trivia:

-He carries a scythe with him everywhere he goes (you'll often see him destroy or kill something when he's fed up with it)

-Krieg worships Cthulhu as his Lord

-He wears a mask all the time as a way to hide himself from the idiocracy of the world around him

None of the characters really interact with Griff unless it's online. Griff also rarely leaves the confines of his room, which I made completely empty save for his computer to demonstrate his obsession with Zark and the internet.

So a lot of you are probably wondering why this webcomic is entitled 'Zark'. Well I'm here to explain that for you. You see, Zark is Vincent and me's favorite online role playing game. I'm usually always on, and Vince plays a lot when he's not hanging out with Kaela. Kaela even has a Zark account as well. Although her character kinda sucks since she's a girl and all...

I actually named the series "Zark" because Vincent's character was originally going to be named Zak.  That changed when I decided to be a teeny bit more creative with it. The name Vincent popped into my head when I looked at the character's blond hair. That made me think of Cloud from Final Fantasy, which made me think of Vincent Valentine from the series, which made me lose The Game.

 Once I decided to change the course of the series, though, I made 'Zark' the name of Vincent and his friends' favorite MMORPG. And everything took off from there...
