So comics are no longer open for discussion?

If we can't discuss anything controversial in GD, no one can start clubs in GD, we can't discuss comics in GD, and generally all threads posted in GD will be deleted or moved, what is GD there for?

Clubs are stupid, but the threads aren't moved.
General discussion in General Discussion, comic discussion in RMDC or Comic Showcase.
Only the threads that don't belong are moved or deleted.
