What's the worst of running a comic contest? Picking a winner. There's usually a bunch of deserving entries, making it difficult to choose a favourite. This time, I'm trying a contest that will hopefully make things easier on me. (But not on anyone else. Where's the fun in that?) Here are the rules:
[list=1]
[*] Choose a category. All the characters in your comic must come from that category. The only exception is the height props, which can be used in any comic. "none" and "props" are perfectly valid choices for a category.
[*] You may submit a maximum of five entries. Series are welcome, but each comic in the series counts as an individual entry.
[*] When it's time to judge, I will pick five finalists. The winner of the contest will be the finalist who's category was used the least overall. Any ties will be broken by the funnier comic.
[*] Judging will take place on Friday evening.
[*] Bonus points will be awarded for doing a comic about cheese, but the bonus points will not affect the contest results in any way. I just think cheese is funny.
