Your challange is to make a two panel comic with three characters in at least one panel. 

Here is an example:

The background on the 1st panel is the "black", then the 2nd is "blacker" and the 3rd (I wish to god there was a 'blackest' background) is "black" again.

So make something with those background instructions, use three people in at least one panel, and make it funny.  That's it.

It was such a waste of everyone’s time and money that even the Tokyo stadium’s rape robots apologized– something they were programmed specifically never to do.

Honestly, good stuff all around. Since the theme is threes I'll give my top three. It wasn't easy, but here we go.

Usually a good gloryhole joke would have taken the contest but it lands at number three:
