Very funny in a strange way. You could go easier on the ol' narration.

"Travis Garden's Attempt At Anti-Depressant Marketing" and "Travis Garden Wants Some Weed" were great. The rest were, as andydougan said, amusing in a strange way. Overall, I'd have to say they jump around too much. Grab some ritalin and you'll be a great stripper.

(Needless to day, I didn't read the last two comics because they required clicking.)

Agreed, "Travis Garden's Attempt At Anti-Depressant Marketing" and "Travis Garden Wants Some Weed" made me laugh, but "What is Travis Garden really thinking?" just confused me.

You might want to establish the character in that first panel, and go easy on the narration.

Even though the Asian girls bursting into flame is a tired cliche around here, I kind of liked the anti-depressants strip anyway. It's the "Warning, you should not take Paxil if you are Asian" that does it for me, I think.

"Wants Some Weed" is a good joke.

"ANGELIQUE FRAME" was good for the first two panels. If you were a donor and had access to the two-panel comic feature, you could have just left it at that. The third panel seems like it's just there to fill space.

The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!

Here come my totally contrasting opinions:

1. I don't fully understand what is happening -- who is Mr. Depp?

2. Spontaneous combustion is a tired cliche, as evil_d said, with that prop. I'd like to see the fire prop used in some kind of fire safety/smokey the bear themed comic. Also, Asiangirl 2 is discussing the low risk of sexual side effects in the first panel, yet you list impotence as the first side effect of the drug. If this were a list of ingredients on a food package, impotence would be the main ingredient -- leading me to believe impotence is the most common side effect. THis causes inconsistence in the comic.

3. Good. Well thought out, Mr. Weed's "I wonder where I can get some weed in this town" took away from the comic, in my opinion. It did not add to it.

4. Second news reporter -- why is she talking? Creates inconsistence in the strip. Had she talked first, it would have been okay, then it would have led into the second panel. How did Priest & Jon end up in prison? I don't get the last panel there.

5. I have no idea what penguin was talking about at the end. I kind of chuckled at "You know penguins aren't bipolar" -- maybe it was just the character stating it.

6. Liked it. But narration called for some kind of food commercial where this was more of a story about a rich republican cat.

7. Good. Liked the ending. There was more talking than I was prepared for and it made me reread certain parts. That lost my interest.

True, or even better yet, take the gag the other way. Seeing that his limo driver is gone, he starts seeking another form of transportation: "Horse? Horse? Anyone got some horse?" Which of course draws the attention of that same cop.

There's plenty of good advice in the previous posts from the masters, travis, use it well.

My two cents:
Narration. Everybody and their mother's talks about the dangers of over exposition , of too much narration. This is one of the most dificult aspects to master in SC. Narration as a kind of "Voice off" like in the second strip works. Narration that re-establishes what we already now, or see in the panels, is useless.

Rule of Thumb nr 197 : Always assume that the reader as the IQ of a blowfish. Dont do things that are too subjective. The first strip simply doesnt work because is too damn disconnected and confusing. The reader cant "see" the logical step between one panel and another.
Part of being a great stripper is perfecting a sense of empathy..."will the reader undestand this, does the strip make sense for anybody else than me" etc...

That being said, your "suicidal penguin" strip cracked me up, although i cant exactly say why...

I'm just the opposite. I assume the reader is bright and wants to be challenged intellectually. I try to throw in lots of treats for the observant reader. And if a blowfish reads it and mehs, so what?

I dont know Kaufman, there's a awful lot of blowfishes out there...

I meant it to try to create a strip as "understandable" as possible. The structure must be simple, but the context could be anything , even Gravitons...Just because you saw a great gag in Bewitched episode nr. 512, and you write a strip about it, chances are most people wont get it, especially if there's a need for context and background prior to the strip.
There must be some sort of identification between the reader and the creator. That's the reason why most comic strips relly on pop culture.
Chances are if you're writing a strip (or a book, or a screenplay..) is that you want other people to understand it and share it, even praise it. Writing something cryptic just for the sake of confounding the reader is too close to the faux-art attitude for me.

Anyway, as i said, those are only my two cents.
